About me

Hello, and welcome to my web site.  There’s no agenda to it, except that I’m writing about things that interest me.  Hopefully some of them may interest you too.  Others you may find boring or pointless, and that’s OK.  I hope you won’t find any offensive, but if you do I apologise.  I’ll occasionally be slightly provocative, but I don’t want to upset anyone,

I’m Ian.  I’m a Christian, husband, father, grandfather, numbers freak and pensions geek.  I used to be an actuary and worked for over 35 years for an insurance company.  I still moonlight writing about pensions, but these days my day job is as a part-time church manager.  I also do a bit of preaching, help with a food bank, chair a charity working among disadvantaged young people and dabble in genealogy.

Please feel free to comment on anything you want to.  It’s no problem at all if you disagree with me.

Finally two came forward 61 and declared, ‘This … Continue reading A stunning confession
